  1. Set a date and location for your foursome (or foursomes) to play.
  2. Each golfer makes a donation of $25 or more for every hole under par.
  3. For an 18-hole round, each golfer contributes $25, $50, $100 or more.
  4. Plan contests at your event – a hole-in-one, putting, longest drive, closest to the pin, lowest score. Ask a local business to donate the prizes.

 

Get your golf club or course involved

Ideas for hosting a charity tournament:

  1. All players add a buck (or $5) to greens fees.
  2. Add a buck or round up at snack stands and the club restaurant.
  3. Donate a percentage of all greens fees.
  4. Have vendors collect donations on roaming golf carts staffed by volunteers.
  5. Sponsor a hole for the Alzheimer’s Association and set up a donation collection at the hole.
