NARFE hits $8M fundraising mark; commits to $9M by 2011
Grassroots organizing at its finest, members of the National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) raise Alzheimer
awareness while supporting the Alzheimer’s Association through
personal donations and events in their communities.
From coin drops to raffles to golf
and
bowling tournaments, NARFE’s
300,000 members have raised over
$8 million for the Alzheimer’s
Association’s research program, and
plan to reach $9 million by their
90th birthday in 2011.
TKE Fraternity: On the MOVE to end Alzheimer's!
Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) has adopted the Alzheimer’s Association as a
national charity in honor of fellow TKE Ronald Reagan. The fraternity’s
signature “Run for Reagan” relay event takes place in campuses
across the nation, raising both needed funds and greater awareness
of the devastating effects Alzheimer’s can have on people of all ages.
