Corporate Relations Director

General Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Corporate Relations Director will play a key leadership role in achieving budgetary goals through his/her work. As a member and leader of the comprehensive development team, he/she is responsible for the growth, development and engagement of key relationships with corporations in the nine county region. As the leader of Corporate relations, he/she is responsible for the cultivation, development and retention of existing and new corporate partnerships resulting in meeting corporate financial goals of all signature events including but not limited to the Walk To End Alzheimer's, Reason To Hope, Dimensions of Dementia and The Longest Day.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for all sponsorship revenue goals, portion of recruitment of Walk to End Alzheimer's and The Longest Day team captains. This will take an understanding of the needs of each corporate client and respond with the appropriate sponsorship or engagement opportunity that overall meets the annual corporate revenue goals.
  • Maintain relationships with key corporate sponsors year-round and ensure involvement in all relevant chapter activities and recognition opportunities.
  • Work to develop a new network of high level contacts for the chapter and form new corporate alliances, partnerships, and volunteers.
  •  Promote employee education sessions in local corporations in the community to generate awareness for our cause; to reach out to others; to give back to the corporate sector; and to open new doors for sponsorship opportunities.
  •  Employ strategic thinking around development and corporate engagement goals.
  •  Use excellent project management skills to manage prospects, provide data and prepare status reports to monitor client activity, revenue and performance evaluation.
  • Work with VP of Development, executive team, other regional association staff and the development team to achieve the Chapters Strategic Plan.

Minimum Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven track record of revenue and expense budget management.
  • 3-5 years in successfully developing and managing corporate partnership programs either for a non-profit or for a corporation.
  • Proven ability to identify, cultivate and manage partner relationships. Strong presentation, sales and writing skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and collaboratively in the idea phase, as well as to thrive and adapt to a constant changing environment.
  • An ambitious, realistic and enthusiastic mind-set.
  • Goal oriented; delivering results.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Current driver's license and insurance; dependable transportation; Frequent travel within the nine-county service area (Montgomery, Greene, Clark, Champaign, Logan, Preble, Miami, Shelby, and Darke)
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a proficient understanding of Microsoft Office products and database management experience with preference given to Convio/Luminate and Results Plus experience.
